ReplyDeleteIt really depends on how much your resort is charging you. What really ticks me off about my timeshare is that on top of yearly maintenance fees that they charge me, they also often hit me with special assessments for upgrades/renovations. What the hell is my maintenance fee financing if its not upgrades and renovations???

Resort Management Association walked me through a simple process to get out of my timeshare. I was thinking the same things as you Rooney and I was lucky enough to run across RMA. I would highly recommend them to any timeshare owner who feels like they could be saving money.
ReplyDeleteIts really sad what has happened in the timeshare industry. I remember the feeling I had when I bought my timeshare so many years ago. I was so proud and excited to vacation like the VIP they made me feel like. Now decades later, I am paying out the ass for something I rarely use and on top of that, I can rent out units at my resort for less than they are charging me for maintenance annually! I signed up with Resort Management Association a few days ago after a long road of trying to sell it. I have high hopes for these guys because they were upfront with me about the truth in the timeshare industry. and the truth is that timeshares are a SCAM!!!!

DeleteRMA IS A RIP OFF. THEY LIED TO ME AND TREATED ME LIKE GARBAGE ABD NOW WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY. IMHO NO ONE SHOULD EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. I HAVE RECORDS SHOWING HUNDREDS OF UNRETURNED CALLS. WHEN I ASKED FOR A COPY OF THE BUSINESS FILE THEY WERE CREATING ON MY BEHALF THEY FIRST TOLD ME NO SWEAT. THEN THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD NOT GIVE ME A COPY OF MY OWN FILE. WTF?
ReplyDeleteI HAVE TALKED TO SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO NEVER RETURNED MY CALLS. ONE GUY SAID HE WENT ON VACATION FOR A MONTH AND THAT IS WHY HE DID NOT RETURN MY CALLS.
I TALKED TO DA'S IN SEVERAL STATES AND THEY ALL HAD HEARD OF THIS COMPANY AND HAD COMPLAINTS AGAINST IT.
